Stocks restlessly await US-China trade war resolution

There have been restless movements in the North American stock markets since the US-China trade war began in 2018. On Sept. 1, the US imposed 15% tariffs on $125 billion worth of Chinese goods. It will rise to 25% for $250 billion worth of Chinese goods, which will take effect on Oct. 1. Meanwhile, China imposed extra tariffs of 10% and 5% on US imports worth $75 billion.
