According to CBC Canada, Lee was pushing for a Canadian-set TV series to be called Stan Lee’s The Chosen which stars an indigenous cop with special powers. He was working with The Raccoons creator Kevin Gillis to get the show running. It was not based on any works from Lee but it is instead based on an unrealized comic book idea from Gillis himself.

The show’s premise was unique and interesting. The main protagonist left his job to become a police officer in Toronto. When his father died, he inherited powers that were passed down from his ancestors. Little did the man now that he also comes from a line of shamans. Lee wanted the story to focus heavily on the man’s discovery of his heritage.

The project is still in the pitching stage. Lee was very enthusiastic about getting it done. He even went as far as recording a video of himself pitching it to TV executives because he could not make it personally. Alas, he did not make it long enough to see the project come to fruition. For Gillis, it would be a great tribute if the project goes on.

Lee confirmed to appear in more cameos

Beyond The Chosen, Lee will live on in the next Marvel Cinematic Universe films. Fans are always looking forward to anticipated Stan Lee cameos in each entry in the franchise and Marvel is happy to announce that the comic book creator has already finished shooting several cameos for upcoming films.

According to reports, Lee’s last cameos will last up until the upcoming Avengers 4 film. That means fans will see him in Captain Marvel which premiers just before the 4th major installment. It is also unknown whether or not he has already finished shooting cameos for the upcoming Spider-Man: Far From Home film.

From that forward, the studios have yet to confirm what they will with regards to Lee’s cameos but fans would probably want the Avengers 4 appearance as the last.

Stan The Man may be gone but his influence and power over the superhero genre will probably remain forever. He is loved not only by comic book fans but also from others worldwide. His legacy will continue to live on not only through the next films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe but also in upcoming comics series from Marvel.
